Communication and Public Relations Unit

The Communication and Public Relations Unit (CPRU) advises the Medical Stores Department on media, communications, and public relations issues. This Unit is responsible for creating public awareness of functions, responsibilities, and MSD’s mandate towards delivering the authorized services.

The Communication and Public Relations Unit represents and protects the Medical Stores Department’s image and brand, which the public and media see. It acts as the bridge of communication between stakeholders (Internal and external). The CPR Unit is one of those key architectures for MSD in improving communication to establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding between the department (MSD), stakeholders, and the public in general. The unit's significant roles include increasing awareness of MSD operations (internal and external communication), maintaining a good reputation, and building a good image.

Hence, the CPR Unit is a vital tool that helps the MSD implement its mandate by capturing, collecting, producing, managing, branding, educating, and sharing information generated within and outside the organization. The unit implements its internal and external communication and branding issues. It maintains the image of the medical store’s department per its communication strategy document, which outlines how we deliver our business plan from a communication and public relations perspective.
