Mr. Ali Selemani is an Audit Partner at BDO East Africa, based in Tanzania, with a wealth of experience both locally and internationally. He brings over 20 years of expertise in audit, risk management, advisory, and internal control reviews, having held prominent roles across leading organizations.

Ali’s career includes valuable experience at Deloitte East Africa in Tanzania and Deloitte’s Montreal office in Quebec, Canada. He has worked in various positions, including Audit Associate, Audit Senior, and Audit Manager. Additionally, Ali served as the Director of Finance and Administration, as well as the Director of Internal Audit at UTT Microfinance Plc. Most recently, he spent over six years as a Senior Manager at KPMG in Tanzania before joining BDO East Africa in August 2023.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Public Practice, Mr. Ali has provided audit and advisory services to both private and public sectors across diverse industries. His extensive background has also made him a trusted mentor, delivering over 30 professional presentations to accounting and insurance sector professionals.

Mr. Ali is actively involved in leadership roles, having served on the Board of Directors for National Construction Company, where he chaired the Audit Committee.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Accounting, from the University of Dar es Salaam. In November 2024, he obtained a Directorship Certification from the Institute of Directors and continues to contribute to the accounting and corporate governance communities.

Medical Stores Department (MSD) was established by the Act of Parliament No.13 of 1993 as an autonomous department under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children responsible for developing, maintaining and managing an efficient and cost effective system of procurement, storage and distribution of approved medicines and medical supplies required for use by all public health facilities.
