Our operations align with the Medium-Term Strategic Plan (PMTSP) III (2021-2026), which outlines 42 targets and 102 Key Performance Indicators. Key focus areas include:

  • Healthcare Initiatives: Combating HIV and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through monthly knowledge-sharing sessions led by peer educators.
  • Anti-Corruption Efforts: Implementing the National Anti-Corruption Strategy to promote transparency and integrity.
  • Customer Service Enhancement: Ensuring timely Integrated Logistics System (ILS) deliveries and effective inventory management, supported by regular cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
  • Staff Development: Continuously enhancing the skills of our multidisciplinary team to effectively fulfill our core mission of efficiently storing, selling, and distributing health commodities.

Storage Facilities

The Mwanza Zone operates a warehouse with a storage capacity of 2,742 square meters and leases an additional 300 square meters from the Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA). To further enhance our storage capabilities, plans are underway to construct a new facility with an anticipated capacity of 6,000 square meters.

Service Coverage

We extend our services to government-owned, faith-based, and private health facilities accredited by the Government of Tanzania. Our commitment ensures the availability and accessibility of health commodities, even in remote areas, embodying our motto: "Dedicated to Save Life." Our customer base of 1,337 facilities is expected to grow in line with the government's efforts to improve healthcare accessibility nationwide.

Our product range includes medicines, laboratory reagents, and medical equipment. We are also the exclusive supplier of certain narcotic medications used for pain relief in surgical procedures.

Customer Engagement

We host stakeholder meetings annually to discuss various aspects of the health commodity supply chain. These sessions provide updates on MSD's plans and progress, solicit customer feedback, address challenges, and foster collaborative solutions. Government officials from regional and district levels are invited to streamline financial matters, particularly outstanding payments from health facilities. Additionally, our WhatsApp group facilitates real-time updates on planned and ongoing ILS distributions to primary healthcare facilities.

Customer Complaint Handling and Feedback

We view customer complaints as opportunities for improvement. Complaints are received via telephone and written correspondence, logged into our Epicor-10 system, and addressed promptly. Issues within our capacity are resolved within three days, with customers informed of progress, especially when they need to escalate to headquarters. Regular monthly visits to corporate and non-corporate customers help identify and resolve potential issues proactively.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Demonstrating our commitment to the community, we assist disadvantaged groups—including orphanages, expectant mothers, children under five, and incarcerated individuals—by providing essentials such as food, clothing, and medical supplies. Our social responsibility initiatives also encompass engagement in various sports and activities, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

We embrace our multidisciplinary expertise to achieve our goals efficiently. Respect and open communication are fundamental, fostering a collaborative environment where innovations are valued and team agreements are honored. These principles guide our commitment to excellence in service delivery.
